John and Sarah
Embalmers, Funeral Directors, Organisational Celebrants
John and Sarah have many years experience in the death care industry both in Australia and NZ working in all parts of the industry as employees and later as business owners. Both are registered volunteers (15 years) working regularly (between funerals) across the Justice Sector (Police, Courts and Corrections) walking alongside and pro socially supporting individuals who have negatively impacted the lives of others. Actively providing trust and confidence to those impacted by offending behaviour by positively encouraging, enhancing and supporting non offending pathways to enable diminished levels of reoffending and increased levels of community safety. John and Sarah genuinely care about the cultural, spiritual and social health and well being of the communities they live and work in.
Liam Ormsby
Psychology-(BPsyc), Performing Arts-(BPA), Applied Finance-(MAppFin), Funeral assistant, Grief and Loss Advisor
Liam spends much of his time searching for acting roles and has had regular parts on Shortland Street and other NZ productions in the past. When he is available he provides mum and dad with advice about the finances of their business and is happy to put on a suit and help out as a funeral director. He like his parents also volunteers regularly as a registered Approved Specified Visitor with the department of Corrections utilising his Psychology, Finance and Performing Arts degree's to pro socially support , guide and mentor male youth offenders. Encouraging others to live good lives between birth and death is something Liam is passionate about.
Keitha Ormsby
Psychology-(BSc) currently completing (PGDip) in Psychology, Funeral home administration, Grief and Loss Advisor
Keitha is currently completing her Psychology degree at Auckland University and helps mum and dad with funerals whenever she is home on the weekends or holidays. She too like her mum, dad and brother is a registered Approved Specified Visitor with the department of Corrections utilising her Psychology degree to pro socially support and mentor female youth offenders both in Auckland and Waikeria Womens Prisons. Keitha's passion is caring for people and the ability for them to have a safe, healthy and harmonious community to live in and an environment where children are able live, learn and thrive.
Mechele Ormsby
Medicine and Surgery-(MBChB), Embalmer
Mechele is currently completing her 3rd year of a medical degree at Auckland University and helps with funerals whenever she is home on the weekends and holidays. Mechele has a practical knowledge of embalming and is happy to swap her books for embalming scrubs when needed. Her past embalming experience has been of significant benefit for Mechele as she progresses with her current studies. Mechele possesses a strong interest in population health with future plans on being an advocate for improved access to health services for senior citizens living in rural communities across NZ.
Gregory Koroheke, Donna Hemara and Joe Tapara compliment and add significant value to our whanau engagement and End of Life service delivery when called upon. Greg, Donna and Joe are all community volunteers actively working with members of the Otorohanga district as registered NZ Maori Wardens, Approved Specified Visitors registered with the department of Corrections and Greg as a self sustaining community based Minister.
Our team offers 20+ years of care and experience with our children having been raised with parents working in the death care industry (2002 - current). We are a fiercely independent New Zealand family owned and operated provider of Funeral Services to the general public and offer trade related services to other funeral service providers.
